What do you need to get started playing guitar?
This lesson is going to cover the things you will need to get started with learning how to play the guitar, and learning the lessons provided.
What you need to get started:
1. A Guitar with six strings, preferably newer strings (Electric, Acoustic, or Classical Guitar)
2. A Guitar Pick (Thick, thin) use whatever pick you find comfortable in your hand.
3. If you choose to go with the Electric guitar route, make sure you have a proper working amp & decent guitar cables.
4. Guitar Tuner
5. Lastly, make sure you bring patience and desire to learn how to play the guitar!
In conclusion, if you do not have a guitar, try asking your parents, friends or neighbors, because most people have an old acoustic guitar laying around the house somewhere!
Also, for a true beginner, starting with the electric guitar might not be what you want to start off with. It’s good to learn on an acoustic first, and then work your way up to the electric guitar for learning the basics!
